
The World Aquaculture Singapore 2026 (WA2026) will be held from 2 to 5 June 2026 at the Singapore EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will bring together thought leaders, innovators and industry experts from around the world, fostering collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and the showcasing of cutting-edge advancements across multiple sectors of the aquaculture industry.
Official opening and conference programme
WA2026 will officially open with an address by Dr. Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and the Ministry of Education. His remarks will frame the conference theme — “High Yield Production Through Nutrition, Health, Genetics and Resources” — and mark the start of a programme featuring keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops and networking sessions.
The technical programme will provide a comprehensive platform for professional exchange, capacity building, and exposure to emerging technologies and best practices shaping the global aquaculture industry.
Aquaculture farm tours: applied learning in Singapore
As part of its applied learning focus, WA2026 will feature a series of curated aquaculture farm tours showcasing Singapore’s advancements in sustainable production systems, research, and innovation.

- Pre-Conference Tours: 2 June 2026
- Post-Conference Tour: 6 June 2026
Tour highlights include visits to the Marine Aquaculture Centre (St John’s Island), Republic Polytechnic Aquaculture Facility, James Cook University Singapore, AIC Aquaculture Facility (Temasek Polytechnic) and Blue Aqua Farm. These sites showcase selective breeding and hatchery systems, aquaponics, genetics research, molecular diagnostics, feed innovation, applied research and industry collaboration, and recirculating aquaculture systems with advanced biosecurity and sustainable shrimp and finfish farming practices.
Accommodation and logistics
To support international participation, specially negotiated accommodation packages have been arranged at selected hotels near the venue, offering delegates convenience and accessibility throughout the event.

Editor at the digital magazine AquaHoy. He holds a degree in Aquaculture Biology from the National University of Santa (UNS) and a Master’s degree in Science and Innovation Management from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, with postgraduate diplomas in Business Innovation and Innovation Management. He possesses extensive experience in the aquaculture and fisheries sector, having led the Fisheries Innovation Unit of the National Program for Innovation in Fisheries and Aquaculture (PNIPA). He has served as a senior consultant in technology watch, an innovation project formulator and advisor, and a lecturer at UNS. He is a member of the Peruvian College of Biologists and was recognized by the World Aquaculture Society (WAS) in 2016 for his contribution to aquaculture.
