Indonesia.- Indonesian Blue Swimming Crab Association (APRI) has organized the First Quarterly Meeting in 2018 with topic “Building a sustainable BSC industry from capture fisheries and aquaculture fisheries to meet export targets and international certification”. This meeting was held in Semarang, Central Java on 14 April 2017. APRI also invited several speaker such as Mr. Sugeng Raharjo (BBPBAP Jepara) to present about The Development of the Cultivation Program of BSC in Pond, Mr. Hirmen Syofyanto (MSC) was present about Marine Stewardship Council Fish For Good – Indonesia and invited person Ir. Sri Rejeki (Diponegoro University) . All of APRI members also attended this meeting.
“This year (2018) there is a HARPC (Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls) replacement of HACCP enacted on April 1, 2018. This adjusts to the needs of each buyer and should have started preparing as well. The FIP never stops. From the external side is also always a concern. It is a key for us to always export the crabs meat”, said APRI’s Chairman Kuncoro Catur Nugroho. He also report the Development of APRI Cultivation and Activities In General. Dr. Hawis Madduppa (APRI’s executive director) present about APRI’s Role for the Continuous Improvement of Fisheries Continuous Improvement in Indonesia. “APRI itself is considered to be better in terms of managing crab fishery, but this program would be better if not just limited to meet the needs of exports only. In addition to preparing for MSC Chain of Custody certification, APRI will increase APRI App system for all APRI members, because APRI App developed its goal to facilitate traceability”, he said. APRI’s Secretary Bambang Arif Nugraha also present about Harmonization Between Control Document with SIMP 2018. He also conveyed the latest BSC export conditions. In the last meeting, APRI was also distributed APRI membership certificate in 2018 as a form of APRI appreciation to all its members.
