
The organizers of the SRS 2026 International Conference, November 9 to 11, 2026, in southern Chile. officially invite researchers, professionals, and postgraduate students in fish health and salmon farming to submit their work on Salmon Rickettsial Syndrome (SRS)—one of the most complex and high-impact diseases affecting global aquaculture.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstracts must be submitted in English—the official language of the event—via the conference website. Submissions must comply with the following technical criteria:
- Length & Layout: Maximum of two pages, single-spaced, and fully justified.
- Typography: Formatted strictly in Times New Roman, 10-point font.
- Visuals: Any included figures or tables must align with the format and be clearly legible.
Authors must indicate their preference for either an oral presentation or a poster session; however, the scientific committee reserves the right to make the final decision. Accepted papers will be featured in a digital compilation distributed to all attendees.

We aim for this conference to become a key meeting point for sharing scientific advances and strengthening collaborative networks around the main challenges facing the global aquaculture industry,” stated Dr. Ruben Avendaño Herrera, Associate Director of the INCAR² Center and academic at Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB).
Thematic Sessions and Strategic Backing
The scientific program features six thematic sessions designed to tackle the disease from diverse perspectives, including: Animal Health and Welfare; Environmental Epidemiology and Predictive Modeling; SRS Control Tools; and Technological and Biotechnological Tools for its Control. Additional modules will explore the intersection of science, industry, and public policy.
Dr. Valentina Valenzuela Muñoz, Principal Investigator at INCAR², highlighted the event’s scope:

He holds a degree in Aquaculture Biology from the National University of Santa (UNS) and a Master’s degree in Science and Innovation Management from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, with postgraduate diplomas in Business Innovation and Innovation Management.
