Norway continues to solidify its position as a strategic market for Garware Technical Fibres Ltd., a company with two decades of experience supplying the fishing industry with high-tech netting and ropes. Backed by this track record, the firm will participate in the international trade show Nor-Fishing—the leading gathering for commercial fishing—held in Trondheim from August 18 to 20, 2026.
“The solutions we will present are engineered for one of the world’s most demanding markets and backed by a company with the technical prowess required to support the sector’s sustainable growth,” highlighted Vivek Kumar, International Fishing representative at Garware Technical Fibres Ltd.
Technical Innovation and Knowledge Transfer
During the event, Garware will showcase its latest developments in bottom trawling, pelagic trawling, and purse seine fishing (under the SNG, Sapphire, and Plateena brands).
“Our trawl products deliver key competitive advantages, including minimal to negligible shrinkage, extended service life, and enhanced fuel efficiency. Meanwhile, our purse seine nets have proven their optimal performance in harsh Norwegian conditions for decades. At this trade fair, we aim to strengthen industry ties and consolidate the company’s European expansion,” Kumar stated.
For the subsidiary Garware Chile, this international event represents a key opportunity for technical exchange.
“Nor-Fishing focuses on the commercial fisheries and aquaculture sectors, enabling us to validate the performance of our textile solutions under extreme climatic and biological conditions. The operational and regulatory demands of Nordic waters set the global benchmark,” explained Francisco Serra, Commercial Manager at Garware Chile.
Sustainability and Global Competitiveness
This presence aligns with the company’s sustainability strategy, reaffirming its standing as a comprehensive strategic partner.
“Producers rely on the backing of global textile engineering capable of optimizing their operations and ensuring their market competitiveness,” Serra concluded.
