VIGO, Spain – Aquafuture Spain 2025, the International Aquaculture Industry Exhibition, held the official presentation of its 3rd edition on April 22nd at the Afundación Abanca headquarters in Vigo. The upcoming event is set to take place from May 20th to 22nd at the IFEVI exhibition center in Vigo.

The 3rd edition of Aquafuture Spain is poised for significant growth, featuring 210 companies from 26 different countries, representing a 50% increase compared to the previous edition. This growth highlights a substantial rise in international participation, exemplified by the 12 companies from China attending the event for the first time. The organizers anticipate a major surge in visitor numbers as well, with the high volume of invitation requests suggesting an attendance exceeding 8,000 visitors, a significant leap from the 2,500 visitors in the last edition.
Strategic decisions made in 2023, including transitioning the event to a biennial format and relocating it to the IFEVI venue in Vigo, have proven successful, consolidating Aquafuture Spain as the sole dedicated aquaculture fair in Spain and the second largest in Europe.
The project has received strong institutional backing from key entities such as the Xunta de Galicia, Concello de Vigo, Deputación de Pontevedra, Zona Franca de Vigo, and Abanca. This extensive support has been instrumental in establishing the event firmly in Galicia and foreseeing a bright future.
Complementing the exhibition is an extensive program of technical sessions held across different rooms within the venue. The Conference Room will host eight round tables featuring 40 international speakers and encouraging audience participation. These discussions will address topical issues and subjects of general interest for the aquaculture sector.
